The project 'VOLTA' is going to be focused on enhancing Arduino knowledge of island wide schooling students through webinars,quizzes and a competition. Focused target group is going to be grade 10,11,12 and 13 while the expected paticipation is 1000. Moreover needed knowledge will be offered through 8 webinars and they are going to be conducted by professionals in the field. They are supposed to have an interactive learning platform and a regular assignment system. Additionally we are going to provide arduino kits for the schools those lack resources. As the final outcome it is supposed to have a competition to evaluate the success of the project as well as to highlight students’ smart ideas in micro controller programming. Final competition is going to be under supervision of panel of judgers and winners are going to be awarded. Day 01 – First webinar was held on 5 th of March 2022 and the guest speaker was Mr.Ruwantha Pushpika. He is an Electronic Engineer of Magicbit(Pvt) Ltd and he is the co-founder of Beefactory. First the organizing committee co-chair, Mr.Malkith Amanda gave a brief introduction about the program and then the moderator, Ms.Narmada Charuni introduced the rules and regulation of this webinar. After that the session was handed over to the guest speaker. The first day was based on “Introduction to Embedded System, Microcontrollers and Arduino”. Introduction to embedded systems, understanding embedded systems, history of microcontrollers, common features of microcontrollers, different types of microcontrollers, different methods of microcontroller development were discussed under the topic. There were 334 participants for the session and at the end of the session, a quiz relevant to the topic was given for the participants.
