Description
The second day of RoboEdu educational workshop, organized by the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society, the student chapter of University of Peradeniya, was held on the 5 th of February 2022 from 4.00 p.m via zoom platform and Youtube live. The webinar was opened for all the school children interested in Robotics and who prefer to learn about microcontrollers. The main topics discussed were, How to connect the Arduino board to a computer? How to install Arduino software? Digital inputs and outputs Analogue inputs and outputs Sensors and actuators How to write a simple Arduino program? At the commencement of the event, an introduction to the Arduino Uno- board was delivered. Then he described about different types of microcontrollers. Afterward, the speaker started to discuss Arduino software from the basics. Further, he clarified about C++ language that can be written in Arduino software. About Tinkercad software which can be used for Arduino programming on an online platform was explained. In that, participants could see some practical applications of Arduino. All over the program, the participants were able to ask any question from the speaker and clarify their doubts regarding the Arduino programming and how to control sensors and actuators.
