Description
The Sixth day of RoboEdu educational workshop, which was organized by the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society, the student chapter of University of Peradeniya was held on 5 th of March 2022 from 6.30 p.m. onwards via zoom platform. The webinar was conducted by a first-year undergraduate, Mr. Aftab Naim from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya. The webinar was opened for all the school children interested in Robotics and who are eagerly waiting to learn about robotics and control systems. At the very beginning of the event, an introduction of the keynote speakers was delivered. Afterwards, Mr, Aftab Naim started the session by presenting the beginner level to advanced level robots that they can make. After that, he started his presentation which includes the following main topics, Control Algorithms - PID Line Follower Maze Solver Self Balancing Robot GPS driven car Seed Incubator Ardusat He described the steps, working principles and plans which are helpful to control robots. Next, he simulated some projects that he made using Webots simulation software and presented some videos of physical robots that he made. In that, participants could see some practical applications of Arduino. Finally, he highlighted the advantages and opportunities of being passionate about the modern world of robotics and automation. All over the program, the participants were able to lighten their minds and clarify their doubts regarding the projects and their working principles. Finally, to remark at the end of the webinar series, the Vote of Thanks was delivered by Mr. Trilanka Beddegama.
