Description

An abundant bus halt near to the University of Vavuniya, and another bus stand near Katpahapuram was selected with the permission of necessary stakeholders such as Grama Niladhari and University Administration. Initially the bus halt near to the University of Vavuniya was cleaned and drainage arrangements were made to drain the flood water which was stagnant inside the bus stand. Next the Katpahapuram Bus stand was selected as it was used by the nearby public and was abundant for a quite long period. It was cleaned and then painted and handed over to the public. The renovation activities were started on 20 th of February and completed after three weeks. The whole project was undertaken by the IEEE Student Branch of University of Vavuniya and the team was led by Mr. Marie Krishna Prashanth.
