Discussion Introductions Mr. Dhammika initiated the meeting giving an update on how the project teams gave their initial proposals and plans for their respective terms and how the teams are getting ready with building their teams to start the respective projects. He also pointed out the importance of having a event calendar to keep track of the events that will be held under the YPSL In addition he mentioned the following as the immediate actions to be taken: Plan the volunteer onboarding and training UpSkill funding application submission Volunteer appreciation week commencement UpSkill proposal draft discussion Mr. Dhammika then invited the LetsTalk team to present the proposal draft for the UpSkill application submission. Mr. Charindu from the team presented their draft and explained their ideas. The Excom team made a few minor corrections and additions in terms of the content of the proposal. Mr. Ashan offered to help with securing a government speaker specifically from CEB for sustainability development speech in accordance with the guidelines present in the application. Budget for the event was discussed and finalized. Volunteer Training Brief Afterwards Ms. Sewwandie gave a brief on the activities taking place in the volunteer training program. She informed that task oriented training and leadership training were the team's main objectives. She also agreed to submit an action plan by the following wednesday. Publicity content will be discussed after the submission of the action plan. The tentative timeline for the program is as follows: Task Oriented Training - June Leadership Training - July Volunteer Training Team Management Ms. Tharaka then added on to the discussion stating that they are planning on adding team building activities as well as creating a PDP and evaluation matrices. She also briefed on volunteer recognition matrix and volunteer leaderboard to create recognition. Further she stated that they are planning to have a YP gathering event and a year end party for the volunteers. Internship Program for Volunteers Ms. Chamodi then explained about her task in creating a volunteer benefit program of assigning mentors to volunteers in accordance with their respective industry fields. A discussion initiated with regard to selecting procedures in mentors and mentees. Industry Project Partnership Afterwards, Mr. Manodya discussed his industry project partnership program. He pointed out the importance of creating an IE network and creating a database for partnership through reaching out. He also stated that the team is planning on having a gathering as a social event. He stated that he will submit their action plan by May 14th. YP Project update Mr. Dasun then updated the Excom on the progress of the project teams and on how each team had project meetings during the week before on proposal reviews and discussions. He also updated on the progress of volunteer appreciation week which will be the most immediate event by YPSL. He also elaborated that he is planning to have meetings with the project teams every month. Section Collaboration Ms. Warunika updated the team about the section level involvement and that they had a discussion about the plans moving forwards but nothing concrete. Bank Account Transfer Mr. Ashan proposed to start a new YP account in Commercial Bank and individual sub accounts for the six projects under YPSL. Commercial Bank was considered due to ease and their online application facilities. The proposal was seconded by Mr. Dhammika and there were no objections from the Excom as it was a unanimous decision. Fellowship The meeting ended with a friendly chat with the members.
