Description
The annual General Meeting of IEEE WIE AG UOK was held concurrently with the Annual General Meeting of the IEEE Student Branch of the University of Kelaniya. The meeting began with appointing the new office bearers of the IEEE Student Branch of the University of Kelaniya. Then the Chairperson of the IEEE WIE AG UOK for the year 2021/22, Ms. Zina Youhan welcomed the gathering. The minutes of the annual general meeting 2021 was presented to the house by the Secretary for the year 2021/22, Ms. Githmi Vithanawasam. The treasurer’s report was then presented by the Junior Treasurer for the year 2021/22, Ms. Nipuni Perera. This was followed by the Chairperson thanking the house for the support extended to her throughout the last year. Then Ms. Githmi Vithanawasam was appointed as the Chairperson of the IEEE WIE AG UOK for the term 2022/23. There onwards, the newly appointed Chairperson continued the Annual General Meeting by appointing other office-bearers for 2022/2023. Ms. Nipuni Perera as the Vice-Chair, Ms. Nethmini Devyanjalee as the Secretary, Ms. Ishini Tharaka as the Treasurer, and other office-bearers appointed. The executive committee for the new term of IEEE WIE AG UOK took up their positions. Finally, the IEEE WIE Affinity Group Chairperson, Miss. Githmi Vithanawasam addressed the gathering with her thoughts about the affinity group and the plans for the new term. She shared her wishes with every newly appointed office bearer.
