The Annual General Meeting of the IEEE NPSS Student Branch Chapter for the term 2022/2023 was successfully held on 3 rd of November 2022 with the presence of Ms. Randima Hasanthi, who is a Software Engineer of Axiata digital Labs. She is an outstanding alumnus of the University of Moratuwa and the founding interim chairman of IEEE NPSS SBC of the University of Moratuwa. Ms. Randima Hasanthi also held the post of vice chairman of IEEE PELS of University of Moratuwa. The main purpose of the meeting was appointment of Executive Committee members for IEEE NPSS Student Branch Chapter of University of Moratuwa for the term 2022/2023 and to discuss the plans for the coming year. The event started with the interim Chairman Umeshika Karunaratne, delivering the welcome note. Then, the IEEE NPSS advisor Dr. R.M. Thushara Damayanthi gave an inspirational speech for all who were participated to the event. She pointed out the importance of Nuclear and Plasma science education for the future and the actions that can be taken through the NPSS chapter for further improvements of this field as the only one student branch chapter in Sri Lanka. After that Ms. Sehani Siriwardana (Secretary for the term 21/22) presented the AGM minutes of term 21/22. Then the guest speaker, Ms Randima hasanthi shared her experience as the founding chairman and congratulated the newly electing executive board members of IEEE NPSS Student branch Chapter. After that, the election of the new Executive Committee was conducted by the immediate past chairmen of the IEEE Student Branch, Mr. Thisara Madawalage. The executive committee members for the term 2022/2023 were proposed by the members and as there were no objections received the office bearers for the new term were announced. Ms. Umeshika karunaratne as the Chairman, Ms. Minha Thazki as the Vice Chairman, Ms. Beshari Neesha Nuwarapaksha as the Secretary, Ms. Keshika Rathnasiri as the Assistant Secretary, Mr. Vashitha Liyanage as the Treasurer and Mr. Priyan Dilshan as the Webmaster, took charge. After that, the Chairman of the Student Branch Chapter addressed the gathering mentioning the plans and visions of the activities for the coming year. The Annual General Meeting was ended after the vote of thanks by the Secretary Ms. Beshari Neesha Nuwarapaksha.
