The Faculty of Engineering of Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (Sllll) presents ROBOFEST, the annual robotic competition geared to expose the robotic design talents of students all around the country. The competition is an ideal platform to promote the application of problem-solving skills and skills honed from modules taught in engineering undergraduate studies, such as Embedded Systems Design, Embedded Systems Engineering and Microprocessor based Systems, Digital and Analog Electronics, Control Systems, Robotics, and Software Engineering, and also any knowledge acquired by the other competition participants. Similarly, it is an opportunity for the industry to demonstrate their locally developed technologies that might be innovative ideas and worth demonstrating. ROBOFEST is an event that provides an ideal groundwork for building teamwork and strong bonds with other school participants, university participants, and industrial personnel enabling them to share the Rnowledge and experience. ROBOFEST will allow school students to demonstrate their practical knowledge by designing a Robot that can perform a given task according to given criteria. The teams whose robots perform the best will be awarded cash prizes, valuable trophies, and certificates.
