Discussion Welcome by the Chair Mr. Dhammika welcomed the executive committee and initiated the meeting . He explained the current practices used in the committee and the changes to the positions made from the previous executive committee. Current Projects and Project Coordination Mr. Dhammika continued his explanation, highlighting how the previous committee conducted its operations and how the projects were coordinated. He further explained the structure behind the project committees and how the main committee structure aligns with the project activities. He elaborated on the importance of maintaining a proper volunteer pool and a resource pool which would be of high importance when conducting organizational events. He reiterated the importance of a proper structure and the individual involvement within the committee and to practice having monthly project meetings in addition to excom meetings. Finally, he explained his vision for the committee and introduced ideas to improve volunteer engagements and have workshops to train our volunteer pool. Introductions Mr. Dhammika then handed over the spotlight to his fellow members to introduce themselves and give some background to their names. Each member introduced themselves, opening the meeting to a friendly fellowship. AGM minutes discussion by Secretary Mr. Malinda shared the recently held AGM minutes for discussion and to make additions as well as corrections. Discussion and fellowship Immediate actions to be taken were discussed including the transfer of the organization bank account from Sampath Bank. Mr. Dhammika highlighted the importance of creating a more transparent ledger of our transactions by breaking down our transactions to the project level. Discussions were brought up regarding the physical meeting with a tentative date of 12th -13th February and to have a team bonding exercise before the start of the term. The discussion ended with a fellowship. The meeting was adjourned by the chairman at 2315 Hours.
