Other than the articles and digital arts with the greatest potential, “IMPETUS” magazine included remarkable interviews with the following three renowned personnel: Jennifer Dela Cruz - Chairperson, Student Activities Committee - IEEE Region 10 Mr Chandana Ranasinghe - Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Acentura Incorporation Mr Namal Attanayake - Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Parallax Technologies The project “IMPETUS” was first launched on 16th August 2022, across social media platforms; Facebook, LinkedIn and WhatsApp. The registrations for the participants of the ceremony opened on 11th October 2022. The promotional programs of the event were conducted over a period of 30 days. The magazine launching ceremony took place on 15th October 2022, at the Technology Lecture Theatre of Uva Wellassa University. The event started with a short introductory video about the IEEE Uva Wellassa University Student Branch and its goals and achievements. The gathering was then welcomed including the chief guest for the day Vice Chancellor of Uva Wellassa University Prof. Jayantha Lal Rathnasekara and the guest speakers: Senior design engineer at Zone 24×7 Mr Ranjan Kulathunga Chair of IEEE Computer Society Sri Lanka Chapter Prof. S. Vasanthapriyan Chair of Student Activities Committee IEEE Sri Lankan Section Mr Chamika Sudusinghe (SLSAC) Section Student Representative of Students Activities Committee Mr Vidura Dhananjaya Vice Chair Membership Development in IEEE Sri Lankan Section Mr Kulunu Weerasooriya.
