‘Sihinayata Athwelak’ is an initiative of IEEE Uva Wellassa University Student Branch, in collaboration with AIESEC in UWU. This humanitarian project was taken into action in the year 2022. In this project, a less facilitated school in the Badulla area was selected and conducted a phase-wise project. The main objective of this project is to enhance the computer laboratory facilities of the school and to uplift the ICT knowledge of the students. To provide them with our fullest, we brought together our hands with the AIESEC in Uva Wellassa University as a collaborating partner. We selected, B/ Kendagolla Secondary College and chosen 96 potential audience from students of the grades 9,10 and 11 for our workshop series. 1 st Phase Repairing the defective computers in the Computer laboratory. - As none of the computers in the laboratory were in the working condition, we repaired the computers with the support of our volunteer team. Our team managed to get 20 computers back to live, out of 26 computers. Modifying the Computer Laboratory. -The laboratory was renovated and offered it a new look.
