Womenwrit is an initiative by the 21/22 committee of the WIE Affinity Group of IEEE Uva Wellassa in order to celebrate the Women's Day 2022. Despite the hardships and limitations we were facing due to the pandemic and economic crisis Womenwrit is a measure we took as a team to celebrate and commemorate great women all around the country and the globe. 0 2 It is an article writing competition held for the first, second, and third year undergraduates of Uva Wellassa University. The competition was open for all the UWU undergraduates of all faculties. Through the hardships and the academic stress hitting the perks, Womenwrit was a chance for the girls of UWU to put their pens on papers to assess their writing skills. The competition had two phases where the females of the university were given the chance to write articles upon the theme of the world women’s day celebration “Gender Equity and Equality” and a creative writing competition was held parallelly.
