Description

The IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapter of SLTC introduced "Road to GSoC 2022" as the first initiative of the year 2022. Also, this was an extension of the "Road to GSoC 2021" The goal was to provide those interested in participating in the Google Summer of Code competition (GSoC) with a better understanding of everything they needed to know about it, as well as the knowledge required to develop open-source software included in the competition, and to encourage university students to participate in the GSoC competition. Furthermore, the session places a strong emphasis on empowering the university student community by providing a one-of-a-kind experience paired with all necessary guidance via an exciting yet educational program. The awareness session was covered and assisted by well-known and highly qualified panelists. The topics that the panelists did cover in the session were, What is Google Summer of Code (GSoC)? How can we apply for GSoC? What is the procedure of GSoC? What are the benefits of participating in GSoC?
