The second workshop of the Brainstorm ’23 workshop series “AI in healthcare” was successfully held on the 12th of February 2022 from 6.00 pm to 7. 20 pm via Zoom. The meeting commenced at 6.00 p.m. and the moderator of the event, Mr. Senul Samarasekera welcomed the gathering. Then a brief introduction was conducted on the event timeline of the innovation competition “Brainstorm ‘23”. Mr. Senul Samarasekera continued with an introduction on the resource person for the workshop, his research areas and current work. Then, the speaker Mr. Malitha Gunawardhana commenced his presentation which covered the basics of medical imaging, the aspects of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning used in medical engineering and finally their applications in medical imaging. Finally, a Q&A session was conducted with the use of the web platform Slido. The participants were asked to direct their questions on the web platform during the presentation and they were directed to the speaker by the moderator at the end. Following the Q&A session, the moderator concluded the event.
