The Git vs GitHub Workshop has been organized by the IEEE Student Branch of the University of Vavuniya on 07th December 2022 from 10.00 a.m. to 12.15 P.M. via zoom. The workshop included all levels of students from the Faculty of Applied Science and Faculty of Technological Studies of University of Vavuniya and some students from Eastern University Sri Lanka. The workshop was held successfully with a large number of students. Which was commenced under the full guidance of Student Branch Counselor Ms. P. Shorubiga The resource person was Mr. Subangan Sivakumarasarma, Software Engineer at Cambio Software Engineering. He gave some introduction to Git and GitHub and presented basic demonstrations using Git. After that Q & A session happened with active participants very interactively. It was an engaging and insightful workshop for all the participants. The token of appreciation gave to the resource person by the vice chair. Next, the event was winded up with a vote of thanks from the student branch secretary. Finally, the workshop was summed up with a photography session as a memo of the event.
