The Machine Learning Workshop has been organized by the IEEE Student Branch of the University of Vavuniya on 19th February 2023 from 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. via zoom. Branch Counselor Ms. P. Shorubiga delivered the welcome speech. The workshop included all levels of students from the Faculty of Applied Science and Faculty of Technological Studies of University of Vavuniya. The workshop was held successfully with a large number of students. Which was commenced under the full guidance of Student Branch Counselor Ms. P. Shorubiga The resource person was Ms. Sanduni Jayasundara, Machine Learning Engineer at OCTAVE, John Keells Holding PLC. She discussed the basic machine learning concepts to deeper level of machine learning. In addition, she told the trending technologies in machine learning and career opportunities as well. After that Q & A session happened with active participants very interactively. It was an engaging and insightful workshop for all the participants. Next, the event winded up with a vote of thanks from the student branch vice-chair. After that token of appreciation gave to the resource person. Finally, the workshop was summed up with a photography session as a memo of the event.
