“Industrial FPGA Applications”, organized by the IEEE IES Student Branch Chapter for the term 2022/2023 was held on the 28th of January 2022 virtually via Zoom. Guest speaker for the event, Mr.Aditha Rajakaruna was introduced and was invited to conduct the session. Mr. Aditha Rajakaruna is a senior Research and Development Engineer at the Lead Zebu Firmware Development Team LK and he has 3 years experience as a System Architect in Paraqum Technologies. The session was focused about very important topics like basic overview FPGA building blocks, applications of FPGA based platforms, how FPGAs are configured, FPGA Firmware development flow and Modeling using HDL.Upon conclusion of the session, a Q&A session was conducted and the questions raised by the audience were clarified by Mr.Aditha Rajakaruna. Finally the chapter advisor, Dr. Peshala Jayasekara addressed the gathering admiring the success of the event and expressed his gratitude to Mr.Aditha Rajakaruna for the insightful session. The event was concluded after taking a group photo with the participants.
