The third workshop of the Brainstorm ’23 workshop series “Industrial Biomedical Engineering” conducted in collaboration with Synergen Technology Labs was successfully held on the 4th of April 2023 from 4.00 pm to 7. 10 at the ENTC-1 lecture hall at the Department of Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering at the University of Moratuwa. The meeting commenced at 4.00 p.m. and the moderator of the event, Mr. Senul Samarasekera welcomed the gathering. Then a brief introduction was conducted on the event timeline of the innovation competition “Brainstorm ‘23”. Mr. Senul Samarasekera continued with an introduction on the resource person for the workshop, his research areas and current work. Then, the speakers Mr. Udara Karasnagoda, Mr. Prabath Gallage and Mr. Pawan Samarathunga commenced their presentation which covered the basics of medical engineering, electronics in biomedical engineering and the medical device regulatory process. This was conducted with interactive activities with the groups in the workshop. After the conclusion of the workshop session, the guidelines for the semi-final round of Brainstorm 2023 were informed and the event was concluded following the vote of thanks by the event co-chair, the moderator concluded the event.
