"Big Data Analytics to Combat Global Challenges" is an initiative from the IEEE Computer Society of Sri Lanka Chapter to raise awareness and encourage fresh graduates and final year undergraduates on opportunities, challenges and expectations in the industry with related to big data analytics. Mr. Bathiya Lakmal Priyadarshana is a Senior Manager, Software Engineering - Data Analytics and Insights at Wiley. Bathiya graduated from Curtin University of Technology, Perth, Australia and Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT) in 2008 and 2009 respectively. He successfully completed his post graduate studies in obtaining his MBA from the prestigious Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM), Sri Lanka in 2015. Having work experience in both industrial and academic careers, Bathiya blends in his strong technical and people skills to drive any project team that he involves in to success meeting and exceeding the customer expectations.
