Annual General Meeting 2023

Description
The IEEE Student Branch of UCSC convened for their annual general meeting for the year 2023 on the 25th of May 2023. The AGM was moderated by Ms. Dithmeena Egodagamage and approximately 30 members of the IEEE SB of UCSC were in attendance. The AGM was opened by Mr. Akila Maithripala, former Chairperson, welcoming all the SB members in the audience to the AGM. His speech was followed by Ms. Yadeesha Weerasinghe, former Secretary presenting the meeting minutes of the previous AGM. The minutes of the previous annual general meeting was accepted after one clarification was added by Mr. Gihan Seneviratne, that all the nominations for the incoming officer bearers were made by the outgoing office bearers based on a thorough application and interview process. Afterwards, Mr. Pinsara Dhanika former Treasurer presented the annual financial reports for the years 2022/2023. The annual financial report was accepted after one clarification was added by Mr. Gihan Seneviratne regarding specification of individual sponsor amounts in the official report. Next the office-bearers for the term 2023/2024 were introduced followed by the appointment of the office-bearers of the Standing Committee. Mr. Ravindu Sasanka, the newly appointed chairperson, then presented the action plan for the year 2023. The event was then concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by the newly appointed secretary Ms. Anjali Rodrigo.
