The IEEE Sri Lanka Section SIGHT events are an impactful week-long initiative aimed at addressing the challenges faced by underserved communities. With a strong commitment to making a positive difference, volunteers from IEEE Sri Lanka Section actively engage with local communities to gain a deeper understanding of their issues and provide technological solutions. One of the significant events during this initiative was the SIGHT Camp #1 held on 10th of June, where dedicated volunteers collaborated with a technical team to implement the Filter of Hope project. This hands-on approach allowed them to witness firsthand the challenges faced by the school and engaged directly with the villagers. Through these interactions, the team gained valuable insights into the struggles of the community, further fueling their determination to make a positive impact.
