Description
IEEE අඬහැරය is an awareness program organised by the Member Activities Sub-committee of the Sri Lanka Student Activities Committee (SLSAC), intended to instil an interest in IEEE among undergraduates of Sri Lanka, while retaining existing volunteers of the section. IEEE අඬහැරය encourages IEEE Student Branches to organise events in collaboration with the SLSAC. IEEE අඬහැරය 2023 was held parallelly in all 21 IEEE Student Branches around Sri Lanka on the 11th of April 2023 from 07:00 PM onwards. IEEE Student Branch of the University of Ruhuna organized "IEEE අඬහැරය 2023 - IEEE Student Branch of the University of Ruhuna" under the theme of "Olinda Keliya" which is a traditional game in Sri Lanka.
Agenda
1. Welcoming the Guests (Including Welcome Speech) - 15 min - Participants welcomed to the event and provided a brief description on SLSAC & IEEE අඬහැරය. 2. Keynote speech from Mr. Kulunu Weerasoory - Student Representative at the IEEE Sri Lanka Section - 30 min 3. Student Branch Session with Chapter Awareness - Mr. Piyumal Dassanayake - Chair, IEEE Student Branch of the University of Ruhuna - 25 min 4. Session on the IEEE Computer Society - Mr. Randeesha Savindu - 15 min 5. Networking with the audience - 15 min - The purpose of this session was to provide the volunteers with an opportunity to clear any doubts with regards to the IEEE or the IEEE Student Branch.
