Description

The Code Reviver 2.0 event initiated by the IEEE Student Branch of the University of Vavuniya started at around 09.30 AM on the 10th of May 2023 at the Smart Lecture Hall of the University of Vavuniya. The event was initiated by the Moderators Tharindu Rathnayake who is the vice chair of the Student Branch and Harish Kavinda who is the Web Admin of the Student Branch. There was a live telecast from the beginning for online participants via Zoom. To begin the event, oil lamps were lit by Dr. Kirushanth. At the beginning of the event, Miss. P. Shorubiga welcomed all competitors and staff members. After the seating arrangement finished, around 10.30 AM the competition phase 01 was started. From the beginning, we could see the great competitiveness of the contestants. Before the lunch break, we got to see immediate changes in the first ranks of the leaderboard. At 12.30 PM there was the lunch break. Lunch will be provided by the Student Branch and at 01.15 all were seated for the competition phase 02. The competition phase 02 started at 01.15 PM. During that, we will provide refreshments for the continents who attending the competition physically. At 04.15 PM we closed the submissions of answers. Around 04.30 PM award ceremony started. We gave cash prizes to the winners including 15,000 LKR for first place, 10,000 LKR for second place, and 5,000 LKR for third place. Madhan Kavishan who is the Chairperson of the IEEE Student Branch of the University of Vavuniya did the Vote of Thanks. Finally, the group photo session was done. End of the event we gave some gift packs for the physical participants including Code Reviver 2.0 T-shirts and stickers.
