Organised by the IEEE Student Branch of KDU in collaboration with, IEEE KDU EMBS IEEE KDU ComSoc IEEE KDU CS IEEE KDU PES The session held a significant difference as it conveyed a huge range of insights about IEEE volunteering in the Student Branch Chapter and in the Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society Student Branch Chapter along with other chapters. Intake 38, Intake 39, and Intake 40 undergraduates from both the faculties of computing and Engineering participated in the event. All the members of the executive committees of the respective chapters participated in the event. An overall idea about IEEE Volunteering was given by the Chairperson of the Student Branch Chapter while each executive committee from the respective chapters elaborated on how volunteering works are done under their chapters. All the participants were enthusiastically engaged in the session. Further, it was a great opportunity for the fresh volunteers as well as the ones who lack basic knowledge about IEEE to elevate their insights. Also, this is a remarkable step that has been taken by IEEE KDU in volunteering to build future volunteers with great potential.This session served as a platform for students to learn about the latest technological advancements, industry trends, and research opportunities. It also introduced them to a global network of professionals, fostering connections and collaborations that can shape their future careers. After conducting a successful awareness session at KDU Ratmalana,the IEEE EMBS student branch chapter partnered with the Student Branch chapter along with other chapters and worked on conducting another ENVISION session for the undergraduates in KDU Sooriyawewa as another phase of the awareness event. Facebook: 3 likes Instagram: 36 likes It was a great opportunity for the undergraduates in KDU including all the IEEE enthusiasts to educate themselves about IEEE and how to start their volunteering journey. As there were several chapters involved the participants got a better idea about the sub-entities within the IEEE Community and what are those all about. The main aim of this event was to educate undergraduates and to direct them in volunteering. The overall event was a great success.
