The IEEE Computer Society Student Chapter of KDU successfully conducted “HackBOOST” , a workshop on Competitive Programming with AI on the 11th of October 2023 at the Faculty of Graduate Studies Building at KDU. The core goal of the event was to provide a comprehensive understanding of the immense potential within the field of competitive programming in aid of IEEEXtreme 17.0, an annual global challenge hosted by IEEE, where teams of IEEE student members, proctored by an IEEE member and often supported by an IEEE Student Branch, compete against each other in a programming competition that lasts 24 hours. Date : 11th October 2023 Time : 2.30 PM - 5.30 PM Platform : KDU FGS 3-1 The primary audience for the event comprised undergraduates from the Computing Domain. The program featured three sessions, each conducted by distinguished speakers in the industry, covering various professions related to Computing and IT. The event aimed to provide a comprehensive blend of technical and soft skills, recognizing their significant potential in the modern industry. More than 100+ participants registered prior to the event and on the event day. There were 80+ participants approximately from the Faculty of Computing as well as from the Faculty of Management, Social Sciences and Humanities of KDU, and some participants from the University of Moratuwa, UCSC, and NSBM.
