"IdeaniX Generation 01." is an ambitious project by the IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapter at SLTC, aimed at nurturing the creative potential of students and igniting their entrepreneurial spirits. The project's overarching goal is to inspire, educate, and empower, focusing on engaging more than 500 SLTC IT undergraduates. Through a meticulously designed series of phases, "IdeaniX Generation 01." seeks to establish a culture of innovation, spark imaginative thinking, and lay the foundation for the next generation of tech pioneers. "IdeaniX Generation 01." is a comprehensive program consisting of three phases: Guidance Session, Semi-Finals, and Grand Finale. Phase 01 The primary objective of Phase 01 is to provide invaluable insights and practical guidance to undergraduate students at SLTC Research University. This phase is instrumental in facilitating the transformation of innovative concepts into viable startup ventures. To achieve this, Phase 01 is bifurcated into two distinct yet interconnected sessions. Inspiration Session: The initial session aims to acquaint the participants with the pivotal aspects required to elevate innovation to a business-level enterprise. Through real-world examples of successful startups in Sri Lanka, this session endeavors to inspire and enlighten the student body. The intention is to instill a comprehensive understanding of the journey from idea inception to tangible business realization. Design Thinking: The second session is dedicated to exploring the realm of design thinking. The focus here is to equip students with the tools and techniques essential for propelling an innovative idea towards its next phase of development. This session will delve into the technical methodologies employed, potential pitfalls to avoid, and strategies for effective design implementation. To ensure the success of Phase 01, we embarked on a meticulous process of engaging with proficient resource persons and securing valuable partnerships. Promotional materials, including flyers, were strategically shared across social media platforms such as Facebook and LinkedIn, via the IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapter of SLTC and IEEE Student Branch of SLTC pages. To reach a broader audience, we utilized WhatsApp status updates and email communication to effectively engage with potential participants and stakeholders. Registrations for Phase 01 started on the 21 st of June 2023 around 08:00 p.m. Phase 01 sessions were scheduled to take place in Auditorium 01, SLTC Research University on 28 th June 2023. Both sessions were given a total time of 04 hours to go through the aimed topics. The first 2 hours are for guidance sessions and the second 2 hours are for design thinking. A total number of 128 undergraduates participated in these sessions successfully. At the end of the day, we opened registration for the ideation.
