The IEEE Sri Lanka Section Volunteer Training Program 2023 was successfully held on 10th June 2023 at the SLIIT Auditorium. The event, organized by IEEE Sri Lanka Section in collaboration with IEEE Young Professionals Sri Lanka, aimed to provide national level and student branch volunteers with training to enhance their volunteer and professional careers, as well as develop their leadership skills and knowledge of student branch operations. The program received an overwhelming response, with volunteers from various student branches and national level positions attending the training. The event commenced at 9:30 am and continued throughout the day, offering a comprehensive agenda that included various training sessions, workshops, and interactive discussions. The training program focused on equipping volunteers with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles. Sessions covered a wide range of topics, including effective leadership strategies, successful execution of student branch programs, and essential reporting practices. Expert trainers and speakers shared their expertise and provided valuable insights to empower the volunteers. The event also emphasized the importance of increasing student membership numbers in IEEE Sri Lanka Section. Participants were given guidance on membership development strategies and encouraged to actively engage in recruiting new members to expand the IEEE community in Sri Lanka.
