"InspiHER{Tech} V2.0” aims to inspire female undergraduates to delve into the world of technology and science. This program offers participants the chance to develop leadership skills, encourage teamwork, and display their talents in the science and technology sector. The MATLAB Workshop is designed to enhance participants’ understanding of MATLAB software, which is essential for the first round, “InspiHER {MAT101},” of the InspiHER{Tech} V2.0 competition. The workshop is scheduled to take place from December 17th to 21st, 2023. The first session of InspiHER{MAT101} , titled “Introduction to Python,” was held on 17th December 2023 from 07:00 pm to 09:00 pm via Zoom . This session marked the beginning of the MATHLAB Workshop and was conducted by Mr.Pramuka Weerasinghe. The session covered the following topics: Working with Variables Flow Control Structures (including if-else statements and loops) Functions List vs Tuple Working with Additional Libraries (including the pip package manager) The session was interactive, with the conductor posing questions and participants responding actively. The participants were inspired by the session and showed great enthusiasm for learning more about Python and its applications. This session laid a solid foundation for the rest of the MATHLAB Workshop and the InspiHER{Tech}V2.0 competition. This is just the beginning of an exciting journey into the world of Technology and Science for the participants of InspiHER{Tech}V2.0.
