InspiHER{MAT101} continued its journey with the fourth session, “Introduction to Machine Learning,” held on 23rd December 2023 from 07:00 pm to 09:00 pm via Zoom . This session was conducted by Mr. Pramuka Weerasinghe . The session was divided into two main parts: Basic Image Processing with Python : Participants were introduced to OpenCV and learned about: Getting Started with Open CV Changing color spaces Image Thresholding Image Filters Introduction to Machine Learning using Python : Participants were guided through: Setting up the environment A simple Regression example The session was interactive and engaging, with Mr. Weerasinghe providing clear explanations and demonstrations. Participants actively engaged in the session, gaining a solid understanding of basic image processing with Python and an introduction to machine learning. This session laid the groundwork for the participants to explore more complex topics in machine learning. The participants are now better equipped to tackle the challenges of the competition, and we look forward to seeing their progress in the upcoming sessions.
