Event : “Fusion” - Awareness Session and Quiz Competition Date : September 20, 2023 The IEEE NPSS Student Branch Chapter at the University of Moratuwa , dedicated to promoting academic and professional development in Nuclear and Plasma Science, encountered unforeseen challenges with the planned event, " Fusion ," consisting of an awareness session and a quiz competition. On the morning of September 20, 2023, the Chapter was notified of the unavoidable unavailability of our esteemed guest speaker, Dr. S.R.D. Rosa. In light of this unexpected development, the decision was made to postpone the entire "Fusion" program, including the quiz competition. Despite these challenges, the Chapter acknowledges the understanding and support of all participants, volunteers, and sponsors. The decision to postpone the event was made to ensure the quality and success of future initiatives. The experience, though not without its disappointments, serves as a valuable lesson in adaptability and resilience. As we incorporate this experience into our Committee Activity Report, the IEEE NPSS Student Branch Chapter remains committed to delivering impactful events. We appreciate the understanding of our community and look forward to rescheduling "Fusion" and the accompanying quiz competition at a later date. This experience underscores the importance of flexibility and preparedness in the execution of our future initiatives.
