On December 19, 2023, the Computer Society of the IEEE Student Branch at the University of Jaffna hosted a captivating Tech Talk event in the department auditorium, focusing on the theme "Embarking into Game Development." The session was conducted via Zoom by Mr. S. Prashanth, the CEO of TechSerw. With expertise in the field, Mr. Prashanth provided a comprehensive overview of game development, highlighting its potential and intricacies throughout the life cycle of a game. The event commenced with a welcoming address from Roy Nesarajah Viththagan, the Vice-Chair of the Computer Society, who introduced and invited Mr. Prashanth to share his insights. Following the enlightening talk, Thayatharshan extended gratitude in the Vote of Thanks. Approximately 50 students actively participated in the session, attesting to the keen interest in the topic. The creative designs for the event were skillfully crafted by Pabasara Samarakoon and Sivakumar Vithushan, contributing to the overall success of the engaging Tech Talk on game development.
