The day commenced with the arrival of guests at 9:40 AM, followed by the official start at 10:15 AM. A symbolic lighting of the oil lamp at 10:18 AM marked the traditional commencement of the event. Amandi Jayawardane, one of the co-chairs of Interfuse ‘23, delivered a warm welcome speech at 10:25 AM, setting the tone for the day. The event featured insightful speeches by Ms. Dewni Deraniyagala and Mr. Priyal Walpita at 10:30 AM and 10:40 AM, respectively. Their contributions provided valuable perspectives on various aspects of STEM, inspiring and educating the audience. The appreciation segment at 11:15 AM acknowledged the efforts of key contributors. The KDU WIE Chairperson, Gayeshani Diwyanjali presented a token of appreciation to Mr. Priyal Walpita, the SLIIT WIE Chairperson, Yashodha Diwyanjali recognized Ms. Dewni Deraniyagala, and Amandi Jayawardane expressed gratitude to Ms. Lihini Rajapaksha presenting the tokens of appreciation. A group photo session with the guests at 11:25 AM captured the collective spirit of the event. The day continued with a musical interlude at 11:30 AM, adding a delightful touch to the program. Participants then engaged in various fun games starting at 12:40 PM, fostering a lively and interactive atmosphere.The climax at 2:00 PM featured the distribution of gifts for winners, with special recognition for the bingo game winner, Dasuni. The event continued with a quiz at 2:15 PM, testing participants' knowledge and creating an engaging experience. The day concluded with a vote of thanks by Mahdy Abdullah Nawfar, marking the end of a day filled with inspiration, entertainment, and meaningful connections at Interfuse'23.
