Description
An epic guest lecture, which was held at FOE 6-2 lecture hall, enlightened all participants on the world of microgrids, unleashing the power of connectivity and sustainability. With deep gratitude to Prof. Lidula N. Widanagama Arachchige, a distinguished academic luminary with a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Manitoba in 2012, we were able to get invaluable insight about the crucial role in sustainable energy and practical applications of microgrids. The guest lecture commenced at 10:00 AM and was attended by all lecturers in the department of electrical, electronic, and telecommunication engineering at KDU. The dynamic storytelling, coupled with our guest lecturer’s profound expertise, transformed this mere lecture into an unforgettable adventure for our eager minds. Prof. Lidula N. Widanagama Arachchige’s presentation was nothing short of extraordinary, and with each thought-provoking idea she shared, the audience was not only motivated to implement positive innovations but also enlightened about how microgrids work. The event was successful with the participation of all students, day-scholars, and cadets of intakes 37, 38, 39, and 40.
