Description

The general meeting of the IEEE computer society was held on 24th of January 2023, at 2.15 p.m. at the auditorium of the department of computer science university of Jaffna, to assign the committee members for the upcoming year 2023/2024. The moderator of the event was Mr. Raveesha, chairman of the IEEE student branch at the University of Jaffna. At the beginning of the event, the chair Mr. Heshan Mallawarachchi delivered a speech on last year's progress. Then the previous year's meeting minutes were presented by Miss Divya, secretary of the computer society, and were seconded by Miss. Warsha. Afterward, nominations for office bearers for the years 2023/2024 were opened. As for the secretary, Miss Nayanaththara was nominated by Miss Mani and confirmed by Miss Warsha. For the chair, Mr. Imesh was nominated by Miss Veronika. Vice-chair Mr.Viththagan was proposed by Miss. Mayoraka and seconded by Mr.Mayuran.as assistant secretary Mr.Vijayarajah Sayanishan was nominated by Mr.Pazil and seconded by Miss. Jeniffer. As treasurer, Mr. Shivakumar was proposed by Mr. Roshan and approved by Miss Veronica. As the main designer, Mr. Dilshan was recommended by Miss. Warsha and seconded by Mr.Pazil.AS advisor Dr.Kokul was nominated by Dr.Siyamalan and seconded by Dr.Mahesan. Afterward, the newly elected chairman delivered a speech with a vote of thanks. Finally, the meeting concluded at 3.00 p.m.
