Description

The Annual General Meeting – 2023 of IEEE Computer Society Chapter of Sri Lanka Section was held on 30th March 2023, at SLAAS Auditorium. Meeting was commenced at 6.00 p.m. with the participation of around 30 members, including Computer Society Chapter members, invited guests and students. The gathering was welcomed to the Annual General Meeting by Prof. S. Vasathapriyan, Chair of IEEE Computer Society Sri Lanka Section. Guest speaker Prof. Ranjith Senarathne Chairman of the NSF and the General President of the SLAAS - 2023 made a speech on the technological advancements and how these advancements can be interconnected with the people via engaging communities such as IEEE. Then the Activity Report of the year 2021/22 was presented by the Chair, emphasizing on the achievements of the section, as well as the major activities conducted throughout the year. Subsequently, the Minutes of the previous Annual General Meeting was read by the Secretary, Dr. K.P.N Jayasena. Since there were no matters arising, the minutes were adopted with the proposal of Prof. Lasith and the approval of Ms. Shashika Lokuliyana.
