Annual General Meeting 2024 of the IEEE CS Chapter, IEEE Student Branch of the University of Jaffna

Description
The general meeting of the IEEE computer society was held on 16th of January 2024, at 1.45 p.m. at the auditorium of the department of computer science university of Jaffna, to assign the committee members for the upcoming year 2024/2025. The moderator of the event was Mr. Sankalpa Fernando, chairman of the IEEE student branch at the University of Jaffna. At the beginning of the event, the chair Mr. Imesh Nuwantha delivered a speech on last year's progress. Then the previous year's meeting minutes were presented by Mr.Sayanishan Vijayarajah, assistant secretary of the computer society. The financial report for the past year was presented by Mr.Sivakumar Vithurshan, Treasurer of the Computer Society, proposed by Mr.Thamaraj Thayatharsan and seconded by Mr.Sayanishan Vijayarajah. Afterward, nominations for office bearers for the years 2024/2025 were opened. As for the secretary, Miss. Malshi Kavindya was nominated by Miss.Nayanaththara and confirmed by Miss.Rashi. For the chair, Mr. Sivakumar Vithurshan was nominated by Miss.Varsha Jeyarajalingam and seconded by Miss.Vieronika Kaneshamoorthy. Vice-chair Mr.Tharusha Sachinthana was proposed by Mr. Chamara Bandara and seconded by Mr.Anuka Mithara. As assistant secretary Mr.Ravichandran Jananan was nominated by Mr.Jasmin and seconded by Mr. Sanjay Kirupaharan. As treasurer, Mr. Fernando Nirmal was proposed by Mr. Mathurshan Jeymohan and approved by Mr.Pamuda Uposath. As the main designer, Mr. Pamuda Uposath was recommended by Miss. Kavithra Nirmali and seconded by Mr.Pasindu Gunathilaka. As advisor Prof.Siyamalan was nominated by Dr.Nirthika and seconded by Prof.A.Ramanan. Afterward, the newly elected chairman delivered a speech with a vote of thanks. Finally, the meeting concluded at 2.30 p.m.
