Description

On the 25th of September 2023 the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of the Faculty of Engineering at Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology in collaboration with the IEEE Student Branch of SLIIT hosted the Grand finale of Robofest 2023, a visionary platform that celebrated the evolution of robots and technology through competitive rounds spanning over 3 days. The Grand Finale was open to undergraduates and participants from schools where approximately 450+ registrants were recorded and 350+ participants were in attendance. The finale consisted of two rounds for the university category and one for the school category filtering the champions and winners of the competition. Mr. Thulith Edirisinghe, Mr. Chameera Wijethunga, Mr. Adisha Mallawarachchi, Mr. Charith Sucharitharathna, Mr. Sarath Wickramasuriya and Dr. Anuradha Jayakody were on hand to provide their verdict as the esteemed panel of judges. At the conclusion of the event, the winners were honoured with prizes and the end marked the tremendous success of Robofest 2023.
