The workshop was held as the 1st event in a series of workshops under the Brainstorm ‘24. This workshop aimed to equip participants with the skills needed to generate innovative ideas in medical technology. The Brainstorm '24 series kicked off with its first workshop, “Ideation,” which was successfully conducted via Zoom. The event was organised by the IEEE EMBS Student Branch Chapter at the University of Moratuwa. The workshop began with an introduction to the content of the workshop. Mr. Pulasthi Ekanayake, a seasoned Machine Learning Engineer at ExpertIntelligence.ai, provided valuable insights on ideation in the field of medical technology. Following this, Mr. Ekanayake shared his expertise on effective brainstorming techniques and innovative thinking, ensuring success in tech-medical ventures. The interactive session allowed participants to engage directly with Mr. Ekanayake, raising questions and discussing various aspects of integrating technology into medicine. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by a representative from the IEEE EMBS Student Branch Chapter at the University of Moratuwa.
