IEEE PES (Power and Energy Society) SBC University of Jaffna organized an electrifying introductory session to IEEE for Freshers-E23, in collaboration with IEEE RAS (Robotics and Automation Society) SBC University of Jaffna, which took place on March 20th at 4 pm in the Computer Department lecture hall of the Faculty of Engineering. The event featured Mr. Dimuthu Anuraj, IEEE Jaffna Founding Chairman, as our esteemed guest speaker. Mr. Anuraj delivered an insightful speech covering various aspects of IEEE, including membership acquisition and its associated benefits. During the session, attendees had the opportunity to explore the captivating history and intriguing details of the Robotics and Automation Society (RAS) and Power Engineering Society (PES), both integral parts of IEEE. Approximately 200 students actively participated, making the event a resounding success. We extend our gratitude to Mr. Dimuthu Anuraj for his invaluable contribution and to all attendees for their enthusiastic engagement. This event not only provided valuable insights into IEEE but also served as an inspiring launchpad for students embarking on their journey with the organization.
