IEEE Student Branch of SLTC - April Meeting Summary

Description
The chair of the WIE SB AG of SLTC began the meeting by stating that the documents and finances for the completed "InspiHer" project were successfully handled. The discussion then moved on to the IEEE R10 WIE Student Branch Affinity Group Award, including its feasibility, criteria, and timelines. Plans for upcoming projects, such as the Altium workshop, were also discussed. Following this, the chair of the CS SB Chapter provided an update on the codemania v4.0 vTools submission and ongoing finalization of finance reports of the same. The IES SBC shared details about their upcoming project, the SLEC Arduino Contest, planned for June, including the workshop start dates and final phase scheduling based on academic calendar availability. The secretary of the student branch gave updates on reports and documentation, including vTools submissions, document updates, and upcoming report deadlines. The SB webmaster then discussed the current status of the official SLTC IEEE website and the required tasks for its completion. Additionally, ongoing tasks and progress related to the student branch's annual fundraiser were discussed. Lastly, preparations for the interviewing process and selection of the next Executive Committee were discussed. The discussion centered on the selection criteria and interview process for the Chairs of the parental OU and the sub OUs. Overall, the meeting facilitated productive discussions on ongoing projects, documentation, website implementation, fundraising, and the selection process for the next Executive Committee. Action points were identified, and responsibilities were assigned accordingly.
