IEEE Student Branch of KDU successfully organized "Step Into Industry 2.0," a career guidance program held on February 27th, 2024, at the Faculty of Graduate Studies Premises at KDU. Building on the success of the previous year's event, the core objective remained to educate university undergraduates about prospective careers and optimal pathways for their engagement. This year, the event primarily targeted undergraduates from the Faculty of Computing and the Faculty of Engineering at KDU, aiming to equip them with insights into future career prospects and effective strategies for career advancement. The event featured four main sessions and eleven parallel sessions, offering a comprehensive exploration of various professions related to Computing and Engineering. Distinguished speakers from the industry led the parallel sessions, sharing their expertise and experiences with attendees. The event fostered a holistic approach by blending technical skills with soft skills essential for success in the modern industry landscape. Technical experts of the selected job roles and backgrounds were invited to impart their knowledge, wisdom and expertise to the undergraduates participating in the event. The selected job areas are be as follows :- - Software Engineer - Project Manager - Computer Engineer - UI / UX - Quality Assurance - DevOps - Business Analyst - Support Engineer - Cyber Security - AI Engineer - Data Science Engineer - Electronics and telecommunications engineering - Mechatronics Engineering - Electrical engineering - Biomedical Engineering The response to Step Into Industry 2.0 was overwhelming, with over 250 registrants signing up prior to the event day. The turnout on the day of the event further exceeded expectations, demonstrating the keen interest and engagement of the university community in exploring career opportunities and professional development.
