The SHED, organized by IEEE Young Professionals Sri Lanka, unfolded on the 8th of May at Trace Expert City, Colombo, marking a significant milestone in the Sri Lankan tech landscape. Building upon the success of Phase 1, this Phase 2 event aimed to further foster collaboration and knowledge sharing within the industry. The event commenced with a warm welcome and introduction by Mr. Manodya Nabadawewa, setting the stage for an afternoon filled with insightful sessions and engaging discussions. The agenda featured a diverse lineup of speakers, including Mahsoom Raseen, Lead Business Analyst for ITSM Engineering Team, and Samitha Wijesundera, Software Engineer at Zebra Technologies. Their talks were complemented by enriching sessions led by Ms. Warunika Hippola, Immediate Past Chair of IEEE Young Professionals Sri Lanka, and Ms. Miuli Kalubowila, Founder of Gen Alpha. The interactive format of the event encouraged active participation, fostering a collaborative atmosphere among attendees. In addition to the enlightening sessions, the event offered entertainment and games that added a touch of fun and camaraderie to the proceedings. The vibrant energy of the attendees further enhanced the overall experience, creating lasting memories and meaningful connections.
