On March 19, 2024, the IEEE Student Branch of Rajarata University of Sri Lanka hosted an awareness stall at the Tech Research Symposium held in the Faculty of Technology. The event aimed to introduce and promote IEEE among the students and faculty members, highlighting the benefits of IEEE membership and the opportunities it offers. Our team prepared an engaging stall featuring vibrant banners and stickers, which attracted numerous attendees. Throughout the day, we conducted several interactive presentations about IEEE, focusing on its global network, resources, and various initiatives that support student and professional development in engineering and technology fields. The presentations included insights into IEEE's vast range of publications, conferences, and standards, emphasizing how these resources can enhance academic and professional growth. We also showcased success stories of IEEE members and the impactful projects they have undertaken, inspiring students to consider joining the IEEE community. In addition to the presentations, our team engaged with students through one-on-one discussions, answering queries and providing detailed information about the process of becoming an IEEE member. The event was a great success, with many students expressing interest in joining IEEE and participating in its future activities. This initiative significantly boosted awareness about IEEE within our university, fostering a stronger, more informed community of future engineers and technologists. 4o
