An empowering online event was hosted via Zoom, organized jointly by the IEEE Women in Engineering Affinity Group of the Informatics Institute of Technology (IIT) and the IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) Student Branch Affinity Group of Kotelawala Defence University (KDU). The event, themed "Empowerment Through Togetherness," included an inspiring talk by guest speaker Ms. Bernadine Jayasinghe. Participants also enjoyed a trivia segment about women in STEM. The virtual gathering fostered a strong sense of unity and support, allowing attendees to connect, engage in meaningful discussions, and uplift one another.
