The Induction of IX 24, held on August 17, 2024, marked the official kickoff of Sri Lanka’s premier Inter-University Design Challenge. The event saw a dynamic introduction to the competition, featuring a comprehensive overview of the IX 24 series, including the challenge structure, milestones, and key dates. The induction was led by a team of speakers who set the stage for the upcoming competition. Event Chairperson, Mr. Kavishcan Veerasaravanan provided the opening remarks and outlined the event's agenda. Program Vice-Chair Mr. Mahima Dharmasena introduced the competition roadmap and award details, while Delegate Coordination Vice-Chair, Ms. Abarni Thiruthaniesan, detailed the first phase challenge and submission process. Over 200 participants from various universities attended the induction, engaging actively in the presentation and Q&A session. The event served as a crucial orientation, equipping participants with the necessary information and resources to successfully navigate the competition and ensuring they were well-informed and ready to tackle the upcoming challenges.
