The second session of the Distinguished Visitor Program 2024, under the topic "Future Smart Cities: Applications and Challenges," was successfully concluded on August 21st from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM (SLST, UTC+05:30). Organized by the IEEE Computer Society Sri Lanka Chapter in collaboration with the IEEE Sri Lanka Section and the Department of ICT, Faculty of Technology, University of Sri Jayawardenepura, the event attracted over 120 participants and held at the Faculty of Technology, University of Sri Jayawardenepura, Pitipana, Homagama, the program aimed to explore cutting-edge technologies and enhance the professional skills and knowledge of IEEE members and the broader public. The distinguished guest speaker, Prof. Mohomed Kassim, Regional Coordinator for Region 10 IEEE Computer Society, provided valuable insights on the topic "Future Smart Cities: Applications and Challenges."
