The Women in Navigate (WIN) the Room Program is an innovative initiative aimed at advancing the careers of women in STEM, including undergraduates, fresh graduates, and professionals at various career stages. The event was designed as a hybrid experience, starting with an open registration for both mentors and mentees, facilitating one-to-one mentorship opportunities. The program successfully attracted 12 mentors from diverse STEM fields. After the successful virtual one-to-one sessions, the final in-person event was held on July 27th at Curtin Colombo. This gathering provided mentees the opportunity to meet their mentors face-to-face and participate in various skill-enhancement sessions. The sessions included "Finding Balance: Mastering Career and Life," "Mastering Your Career: CV Writing and Interview Skills," and "Women Leaders: Overcoming Barriers and Achieving Success." The program was highly impactful and unique, offering valuable insights and practical advice. Participants left feeling empowered and equipped with the knowledge and skills to navigate their careers effectively. The WIN the Room Program has set a new standard for supporting women in STEM, cultivating a community of empowered and successful female professionals.
