The IEEE Power and Energy Society (PES) Student Branch Chapter at General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) actively participated in the Varna exhibition organised by Faculty of Engineering Art Circle held on 23rd and 24th July 2024. The event was a vibrant platform showcasing innovations and creativity across various fields. Our PES stall featured an engaging activity called "Brain Wire," designed to challenge participants' precision and control. The game involved guiding a loop made of thin cable along a path formed by the letters "IEEE" crafted from iron wire. If the loop touched the iron wire, a buzzer would sound, and the lights would glow, signaling that the student failed the attempt. Our stall was visited by the Vice Chancellor, Deputy Vice Chancellors, Senior lecturers and lecturers of all faculties, students and staff of KDU. This interactive game drew significant attention and provided a fun yet educational experience, demonstrating fundamental principles of electricity and circuitry to a wide audience. The PES stall's success at Varna highlighted the importance of hands-on learning experiences and showcased our society's commitment to making electrical engineering accessible and exciting to the public.
