October 1, 2024 at 6:30 PM - November 3, 2024 at 2:00 PM @ Online event

Description

VRCade is an annual event series organized by the IEEE Industry Applications Society (IAS) Student Branch Chapter of the University of Moratuwa, focusing on Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and Mixed Reality (MR) technologies. The event aims to immerse students in the world of immersive technologies, offering hands-on experiences, educational workshops, and competitive platforms that challenge participants to develop innovative real-world solutions using these cutting-edge technologies. The inaugural event, VRCade 1.0 (2023) , introduced students to VR technology through interactive experience sessions and a knowledge workshop, providing a solid foundation for future exploration. Building on its success, VRCade 2.0 (2024) expanded the scope by launching a university-level competition where teams develop MR-based solutions to address challenges in various sectors, such as education, healthcare, and industrial training. With a mission to inspire creativity, foster collaboration, and bridge the gap between academia and industry, VRCade continues to evolve each year, offering unique opportunities for students to engage with the latest advancements in immersive technologies and present their innovations to industry experts.
