Description
Careerforge is an online career guidance program designed specifically for the 19/20 batch of the Faculty of Computing. The event aimed to prepare students for their upcoming six-month internships in the next semester. The program featured insightful sessions from two renowned IT companies, SyscoLabs and Codelantic, where representatives shared valuable knowledge about various career paths in the IT industry. They highlighted available opportunities, along with the necessary skills and qualifications needed to apply for internship roles. In Codelantic's session, participants were split into Zoom breakout rooms, where each room focused on a different career path, allowing for more in-depth discussions and tailored advice. This personalized approach gave students a clearer understanding of their chosen fields and the steps they need to take for success. In addition to the company sessions, the event also included an interactive session with students from the 18/19 batch who had completed their internships. These seniors shared their internship experiences and led discussions, where the 19/20 batch was divided according to their preferred career paths, enabling a more personalized and focused guidance experience. This holistic program provided students with the tools and knowledge to make informed decisions about their career paths and successfully secure internship opportunities in the competitive IT industry.
